Our book launch at Hobbycraft on Saturday was THE most fun. We were really excited about it (and also a bit nervous that it would just be the two of us, some balloons and 1oo paper plates to play with). It was so lovely seeing our books on display and for sale, we haven’t seen them in a store before, so we were definitely a bit giddy (and probably uncool) about it.
Thankfully some kids even turned up! So we did some craft sessions with them – making the pipe cleaner crowns and paper plate tambourines from our books – and we realised just how much we love teaching craft to kids. We might just have to do it again!
The hard sell thing just isn’t us, so we weren’t super great at trying to get the parents to buy the books, but we did give out lots of pretty business cards and made a LOT of sparkly crowns. The entire Hobbycraft staff even wore them for the rest of the day. All in all it was a new experience for us and we loved it.
Thank you so much to Hobbycraft in Eastbourne for putting on this lovely event for us, we really had fun. Our books Mini Makers, The Big book of Little Activities, The Princess Craft Book and The Knight Craft Book are all available to buy at Hobbycraft and all good book shops. For more details on what you can expect from the books have a look at our books page.
