Kids Craft: Spin Art Christmas Baubles

spin art baubles - kids craft

2016 was the year of the glue gun for Little Button Diaries as we both got one and it changed our crafting lives completely! This year for me it’s been the year of the salad spinner. My goodness, a salad spinner is so much fun to craft with. If you don’t have one, put it on your list to Santa… pronto!

You Will Need:

  • A4 white card
  • A4 corrugated cardboard
  • Glitter
  • Poster paint
  • Baker’s twine
  • Blu Tack
  • Pom poms

  1. Get your salad spinner out and use a bit of Blu Tack to stick the cardboard into the middle of the spinner. Add blobs of paint onto the circle, pop the lid on, and get spinning. Cut two cardboard circles to a diameter of 8cm and two pieces of corrugated cardboard to the same size.

2. Sprinkle on the glitter and spin again! Leave to dry. I also tried using metallic card and squeezed PVA glue and glitter and spun!

3. Stick a loop of Baker’s twine onto one of the cardboard circles and stick the other one on top. Stick the glittered circles on each side.

4. Cut a small top out of craft foam for the top of the baubles and stick on along with a few pom poms.
