It’s a week to go until the big day. We’ve got two more school and nursery days to go before we can switch our ‘out of office’ well and truly on. We’ve reached that magical age where both kids are super excited about all aspects of Christmas but not too old to wear a Christmas jumper every day in December and not complain about it!
The past couple of weeks we’ve been ticking off all things festive (except for actually finishing off the shopping) to get the kids even more excited about Christmas. We’ve ticked off ice-skating, decorating gingerbread houses, a heck of a lot of Christmas crafting, and posting letters to Santa.
We went to Wilderness Woods to pick out a tree. Their Christmas market really puts you in a festive mood. Grayson getting to walk around with an extra-large stick and tinsel basically made his year!
We also paid a visit to the big man himself. It’s so funny to see how the kids react when they see him. Grayson just stood in awe and Harper reeled off her list, making sure Santa had it locked down. The slightly worrying thing was that her list to Santa in person was totally different to the one in the letter she posted. Yikes! I wouldn’t like to be in his boots if he gets it wrong on Christmas Day!
All I’ve got left on my list is to take a few more trips into town (which I’m slightly dreading) and do all the wrapping… it’s going to be a few evenings of Netflix and wrap!
Have a great pre-Christmas week!
