So we had a grand idea last week that it would be great to make a video of three really quick pumpkin ideas for kids, that don’t involve having to dig all it’s guts out. We’d not made any of these before pressing record so some were treats and some were definitely trick(y) and left us a little hot and bothered. And a bit sweaty. See our little video below for the ideas we tried and tested!
Look at that cute little face! We thought we’d share a really easy Halloween costume for your on our YouTube channel. This easy peasy Spider web costume is made from just a few snips of a bin bag. Classy eh? And super quick – perfect for last minute mums, like us

How have been crafting/blogging for four years and never made slime! It is the best kids craft we’ve ever made, full STOP. It’s really easy to make with food colouring, PVA and contact lens solution. Which sounds odd, doesn’t it. Here’s our little how-to video, or read on for the step by step tutorial.
We’re pretty sure Zoella and Fleur De Force are quaking in their really trendy ankle boots right now with our latest Channel Mum vlog. It’s the video you’ve all been waiting for. We’re revealing the secrets of how we look so ‘damn fabulous’. What’s in our make up bags? A lot of crap, it turns out! As you’ll see quite frankly our make up is in a shameful state. Before kids, when we both lived in London and had disposable incomes we used to whittle away our lunch hours in the Selfridges make-up department. Alas, things are quite different now.
Hands up who’s got the back to school blues and has spent the weekend ironing labels into clothes?!
If you’ve got a child starting school in the next couple of weeks? Do you feel as disorganised, totally unprepared and confused as we did/do? Well don’t worry, because you’re not alone and we have loads of advice and tips for you right here! Get yourself a cup of tea and come and join us as we ramble on about school stuff for longer than we meant to
We’re totally going to jinx it when we say this next sentence but it is starting to feel like summer for more than five minutes every couple of days! To keep us and the kids cool in the heat, we made our own ice pops. If you fancy seeing how we made them, in the most chaotic video we’ve done then hit play!
We’re five days into the holidays so hands up who’s watched Trolls more than three times already (or is that just us?!). As we’re all a bit gaga about Trolls we made a really simple Poppy troll hair so you can whip it back and forth and be happy!
All you need is pink netting, felt, a plastic hairband, glue and about ten minutes!
Hands up who’s nosey like we are and always want to know what other mums have stashed away in their bags? We alway thinks that other mums must have some secret gem of a tantrum tamer in the depths of their rucksacks or a magical wand to entertain everyone effortlessly.
Besides the receipts, rice cake crumbs and a stack of broken pencils we lug around (as well as about 15 lip balms…) we also have some bag essentials that we thought we’d share with you guys! As you never know one of the things might work as a magic wand on your tots!
Oh. My. Days. We recently discovered the easiest and most addictive way to marble. Shaving foam and food colouring and BAM you’ve got yourself a full marbling kit. For free! We love it and kids love it because it involves mess! And we even made a little vid to show you how:
You SEE?! Once you start marbling you won’t be able to stop!
Rainbow Dough. Doesn’t that just sound amazing?? Rainbow. Dough. Well, it is actually pretty awesome. Fluffy, colourful, squishy and soft. This stuff is awesome. It takes about 10 minutes to make and only requires 3 ingredients. We made a little video tutorial to show you how to make it – take a little looksie and let us know if you like it.
If you’re throwing an Easter Party for your kids and are looking for some quick and easy ideas then you need to watch this video! We’ve had a few bunny-themed parties so we thought we’d share our ideas for party games, decor, activities and Easter food. See below for related links to tutorials and ideas.
Happy Friday! Our latest kids craft video is up on our YouTube channel and it’s super speedy no-cook play dough. It only takes about ten minutes to make! You can use this recipe as a base to make dough in different colours and scents.
If there are any crafts you’d like to see as a video tutorial we’d love to know!
“you find magic wherever you look. sit back and relax. all you need is a book” – Dr. Seuss
World Book Day is just round the corner. To get ready and not have a last minute costume panic (!) we made this Cat in the Hat outfit. It’s no-sew and can be made in half an hour with basic materials, which makes it a win in our books! Print out the handy template for the cat’s bow and follow the simple steps shown in our video tutorial.
Happy Monday Folks! We do love a craft project that encourages kids to tidy up! This paper plate desk tidy uses decorated plates and can be used to store all Littles ones pens, trinkets and general bits and bobs.
If you like our video then head over to our YouTube channel for more kids crafts and parenting videos. We’re fairly new to making videos but have been trying to channel our inner Blue Peter presenters to improve. If there’s anything you’d like to see us make or talk about then we’d love to know. Otherwise we’ll end up waffling about Custard Creams, Take That and Made In Chelsea!
