Nap Time Crafts: Easy Elsa Hair

elsa hair diy little button diaries final

As the entire population of 2-5 year old girls continue to completely idolize Princess Elsa (If you don’t know who that is… You can just stop reading now, the rest of this post will mean zip to you!), my own little girl is well and truly on the Frozen bandwagon. She has the dress, the crown, and some shoes that we made (have a look at them here). So I thought I would complete the look by making some white locks.

Nap Time Crafts: Elsa Frozen Shoes

frozen shoes

Our Little Buttons are still all about Frozen at the moment. Will it ever end? We made them a pair of ice princess slippers. This project was super easy and really put a smile on their little faces.

 You will need:

  •  A pair of canvas ballet shoes or pumps
  • Glue on gems
  • Strong glue
  • Tweezers
  • Pencil

1. Begin by marking out your design lightly in pencil on the front of the shoes.

 2. Apply a small amount of glue onto the back of a gem and use tweezers to place it onto the front of the shoe. Repeat all around your pencil markings – cover up the pencil as you go. Add a line of gems all along the rim of the shoes.

Anyone else find that craft stuff seems to just breed?!), she gets all excited and I have to quickly remove her from the area before she creates damage. So I decided to make her some little princesses from fimo. I gave her some lumps too (small ones, this stuff is expensive!) and she made some grotesque looking warped princesses too.

A couple of weeks ago my gorgeous little niece turned 8. Like 99.99% of all 8 year old girls, she loves Frozen. Obviously we had to have a cool little Frozen themed party to celebrate, and OBVIOUSLY we had to have an Elsa cake. This cake is pretty easy to make – the only tricky bit is the pancake flip of the rolled out icing onto the cake. Yikes. It takes a little time, but you have nothing better to do right?
