If you’ve been hanging out here for a while, you will know that we spend most of our time writing craft books for kids. We thought we’d share a few projects from each of our books on our little blog, so we’re kicking things off with The Knight Craft Book and this sparkly Kings Crown, which is super easy to make!
We had an exciting Bank Holiday Monday promoting our craft books with a lovely bunch of local authors at Yellowave in Brighton. Authors Mel and Madeleine read their books, A Cat Called Panda and The Sky Guys.
The lovely Lorna from our local art class, Story Carousel, made panda and owl masks with the kids. If you’re in the Brighton area you should go along to one of her classes. She is so creative and comes up with lovely kids makes.
My Little Button is a
tiny bit massively into knights at the moment. We went to Norwich Castle at the start of the year and since then she’s been all about rescuing her brother from dragons whilst riding on our kitchen mop like a horse. We were going to her friend’s princess party recently and she was adamant she wanted to be a knight. I admired her boldness, and wouldn’t squash that into a princess dress, so I made her this tabard.
Sorry in advance for our inability to remain cool throughout this post. BUT we are just too excited…we can’t contain it. We spent all of last year working on some really big projects behind the scenes of the blog and we’re finally able to tell you about them. We’ve been writing three kids crafts books. Our first two books (our books! Squeeal!) are officially published and available now to pre-order (available to buy from March). Our third one is out later in the year.
