We got invited to a lovely crafty event in Brighton on Friday night. Posh Totty Designs have just launched PTD Makes – super cool craft classes in their beautiful studio in the Laines. We were invited along to a Macrame class and we were so excited about trying something new (as well as hanging out crafting and NOT doing the bedtime routine)!
We were asked by the lovely people at the National Office of Animal Health (NOAH) if we wanted to be involved in their I Heart My Pet 2014 Campaign, a project to promote animal well-being. The campaign is all about crafts for pets, so we jumped at the chance. We decided to use our macramé skills to make a dog toy.
I used to run a friendship bracelet business when I was 8. I took it very seriously and spent all my time after class making up new bracelets to sell at school. I had some serious macramé skills, even if I say so myself!
Recently, I decided to resurrect these macramé skills to make a dog toy. I chose to upcycle some old t-shirts for the job, as the material had some stretch.
