We’re sharing extracts from our books every month (so you buy them) and this month we’re doing a project from our Big Book of 100 Little Activities – which may just be our favourite one. But don’t tell the others. So we’re sharing a great quick craft for summer holiday boredom-punching-in-the-face fun: our squirty pavement chalk. This is super messy outdoor fun paint that creates wonderfully bright pictures. You can paint onto corrugated card or directly onto paving slabs. It won’t stain the slabs but it does need a little scrub to remove! You can use old sauce bottles or find empty ones online.
Oh my goodness this could possibly be the most fun project we have ever done! These giant bubbles are AWESOME. Easy to make, quick and endless hours of squealing joy. Even if you don’t have kids (they pop them too quick!). Bear in mind the bubble wand will dribble its goo everywhere so this is one project that is definitely more suited for outdoors. We made a video tutorial for Channel Mum – click to watch above or read on for the full tutorial.
This week, well, to be honest – its been raining and freezing for most the week so to say we have done a great deal…. would be a bit fat lie! Harper did get to spend some quality time with the grandparents which was a nice break.
Before kids I never thought I’d give mine an ipad. And yet here I am, it gets whipped out more than it probably should!
Lilah decided that ducks are absolutely terrifying. She went from feeding them happily to screaming within about 3 seconds.
We love a challenge, especially a craft one! Hobbycraft set us the challenge of making something out of just a few items selected for us, and we decided to make a lovely little flower pot lady. Mrs. Pot is easy to make, takes very little time and is the perfect craft to do with little ones. For the full tutorial on how to make her visit Hobbycraft!
