KAPOW. This costume is super super easy. You can whip it up in 20 minutes flat and all you need is a bin liner, some felt, elastic and a couple of pipe cleaners. Our little ones were so enthralled with it that they flapped around the garden for a whole hour pretending to save the world. See our video tutorial for how to make it below. If you like it, please give us a little like on You Tube and share the love!
Ok, we’re big fans of The Great British Bake Off and always down tools at 8pm on Wednesday, mainly so we have two hands to eat cake or biscuits (actually cake AND biscuits) whilst watching it. Last week their technical challenge was to make lacey pancakes and we both thought that looked easy peasy. Surely, it’s just drawing a picture in a frying pan right?
We had a huge amount of fun filming our latest Channel Mum Vlog! These pom pom shooters take about 5 minutes to make and cost next to nothing. They’re great to keep kids occupied. You may be picking up pom poms for months but it’s worth the fun (honest!). We’d love to hear how your shooters go too if you give them a go.
Oh my goodness this could possibly be the most fun project we have ever done! These giant bubbles are AWESOME. Easy to make, quick and endless hours of squealing joy. Even if you don’t have kids (they pop them too quick!). Bear in mind the bubble wand will dribble its goo everywhere so this is one project that is definitely more suited for outdoors. We made a video tutorial for Channel Mum – click to watch above or read on for the full tutorial.
A couple of weeks ago my gorgeous little niece turned 8. Like 99.99% of all 8 year old girls, she loves Frozen. Obviously we had to have a cool little Frozen themed party to celebrate, and OBVIOUSLY we had to have an Elsa cake. This cake is pretty easy to make – the only tricky bit is the pancake flip of the rolled out icing onto the cake. Yikes. It takes a little time, but you have nothing better to do right?
